This introductory workshop teaches the key principles of puppetry and equips the students to be able to manipulate with confidence and skill. Initially, the session explores movement potential in the student’s own bodies, before applying these dynamics to abstract materials.
In the final stages of the workshop the students will devise with table top puppets in small groups, applying the techniques learnt and exploring the complicité in multiple puppeteers, developing skills in communication, group work and understanding.
This workshop can be tailored to explore a specific text or project relevant to age and ability.
